Individual Mentoring for Live Looping & Musical Systems
From setup to sound.
So your setup supports your music — not the other way around.
One-to-one guidance for musicians and live loopers. Whether you’re wrestling with a complex system, searching for your artistic voice, or preparing for performance — I help you cut through the noise and find what works.

What people usually come for
Most reach out when they already have experience — but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unclear about the next step.
Live looping systems & workflows
Musical clarity in complex setups
Effects, dynamics & structure
Personal looping language
Preparation for live performance
This work is less about learning a tool — and more about learning how to think musically inside a system.
From people I’ve worked with
With Arystan I found a guide who understands my musical vision and responds precisely to my questions.
— Mentoring client
The 1:1 intensive weekend was great — relaxed and focused at the same time.
— Intensive participant
I came with specific technical questions that online tutorials couldn’t answer. Arystan took the time, and a single session already clarified so much.

Live Looping Mentoring
Live looping is my central teaching focus. I approach it as a musical and performative practice — not merely a technical skill.
- Musical form & long arcs
- Transitions & resets
- Clarity under complexity
- Sound decisions that serve intention
A simple process
Conversation
We start with a call to understand your situation, goals, and what’s blocking you.
Focus
Together we define a clear focus — whether it’s one session or a longer mentoring phase.
Work
We dive in. Online for structure and feedback, or in-person for deeper sound and performance work.
Mentoring Formats
- Single sessions
- Short mentoring phases (3–5 sessions)
- In-person intensives (1–2 days)
Online & In-Person
Online mentoring focuses on structure, workflow and feedback. In-person work allows deeper focus on sound, body awareness and live performance.
Multi-session mentoring phases are arranged individually based on your needs.
25+ years across stages, studios and teaching contexts — from jazz studies and theatre music to polyinstrumental live looping. My research on ritual, trance and embodied music (Gnawa, Morocco) shapes how I work: technically precise, but always asking: does this serve the music?
