Youth Music Workshops: Rap, Beats & Creative Labs
For more than 15 years I have designed music projects with young people in youth centres and cultural spaces in Germany, Spain and Italy, in cooperation with organisations such as Steinhaus Bautzen, Jugendkunstschule Dresden and riesa efau. My workshops combine rhythm, rap, beatmaking, DJ, movement and transcultural elements in flexible formats well suited to mixed and diverse groups aged 8–21.
My work is based on relationship, trust and creative freedom I meet young people where they are, with respect for their experiences, their language and their energy. Instead of following a fixed curriculum, I create a space in which participants feel able to experiment, make mistakes and find their own voice. Music becomes a tool for self-expression, connection and empowerment. What matters is that everyone feels heard, contributes something meaningful and leaves with the feeling of having achieved something.
