Education & Youth work
Participatory music formats for schools and youth programmes – rhythm, voice, improvisation and digital tools. The focus is on motivation, shared learning and low-threshold access.
Overview
I work as a musician, music educator, composer, performer and artistic project developer.
My work grows out of long engagement with music as a bodily, social and cultural practice.
Starting from music and educational practice, I develop formats shaped by ethnomusicological fieldwork as much as by questions of history, language, body, social practice, ritual and cultural transformation.
These formats take different forms in schools, cultural institutions, festivals and club contexts.
This page gives a thematic overview of this practice. A full chronological account is available in the CV downloads below.
Foundations
My formal education connects instrumental mastery, pedagogical qualification and ethnomusicological research. From the beginning, my focus was to understand how musical learning, motivation and collective experience interact in different cultural and social contexts.
Practice & Transfer
Participatory music formats for schools and youth programmes – rhythm, voice, improvisation and digital tools. The focus is on motivation, shared learning and low-threshold access.
Long-term ensemble processes based on transcultural collaboration and shared responsibility. Musical structures enable participation across stylistic boundaries.
Live performance projects where acoustic instruments, electronics and real-time looping meet. Artistic research that feeds back into educational practice.
Responsibility & Project direction
I conceive, coordinate and accompany long-term artistic and educational projects in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and public institutions.
My tasks include concept development, team composition, pedagogical accompaniment and quality assurance – often within complex institutional and intercultural frameworks.
