Songwriting and Rap Workshop

Arystan specializes in hosting workshops centered on songwriting and rap. These sessions guide participants through the entire creative process, from text development to live stage performances, supported by his advanced mobile recording studio, with a specific focus on developing compelling rap compositions.

Furthermore, these workshops can extend beyond rap, encompassing various genres like pop, rock, and more. Arystan’s expertise empowers participants to craft melodies and hooklines, ensuring a well-rounded approach to songwriting within the dynamic setting of his songwriting and rap workshop. Leveraging his extensive experience as a music educator, he fosters an engaging and enriching learning atmosphere throughout the sessions

Working method

We work with different song writing and lyric development methods. It is particularly important to me to create a trusting and respectful relationship and atmosphere, which is aimed at strengthening one’s own ability to express oneself.

Furthermore there are instrumentals, chord progressions from existing songs, or the unique musical ideas of the participants. To aid in development and accompaniment, I incorporate beatboxing as an instrumental accompaniment alongside the piano and the guitar. Additionally, I utilize the Loopstation, Ableton Live, professional Mics to create and produce sounds, integrating various instruments for song production within the workshop setting

For all age groups, no previous knowledge required.

Empowerment Song

As part of the national congress of the organization Lebenshilfe, my task was to develop an empowering song within 2 days with a group of 20 people from different parts of Germany, which should draw attention to problems in the social environment, but at the same time underline the individual strength of each individual and the group.

Protest Song

My task was to develop and produce a representative collective protest song together with pupils aged 10 – 13 in 7 meetings of 4 hours each. We developed the song in 4 meetings, recorded it in the studio, worked on the stage performance and finally spent a day shooting a video in collaboration with David Campesino.

Scenic Song; Storytelling; Battlerap

As part of the theater production „Lehr_Kraft_Probe“ of the Staatschauspiel Dresden, my task was to teach the young people musical skills and rap and singing techniques, to develop texts, as well as to train them performatively in order to integrate them into the play with the skills they had gained. All the scenic songs were developed together. The production took place over a period of 3 months in 2020 and 2022.
